LG’s huge curved OLED concepts wrap the virtual around you
LG will present a wide variety of new OLED screens and solutions to these 2022. The company says that the new solutions are “innovative” and open new doors for the way you enjoy content on your OLED screens. Based on a shared press release earlier this month, LG displays plans to showcase a new “virtual trajectory” and “Maymedia” to CES 2022. The two new products have flexible OLED screens and LG indicates that ‘They show the “OLED versatility to create new markets.”
The first solution, which LG virtual ride calls comprises three 55-inch Vertical OLED screens displayed in front and directly above the user. The displays form a large R-shaped curved display. The three screens set will provide an immersing view above and in front of the user, says LG, folding together to create a ceiling or sky above the rider. When used, the “virtual tower” will immerse the rider in a forest or other outdoor environment during their cycle.
The radius of the curvature on the screen reaches up to 500R, or about 500 mm (19.6in). LG says that the radius is the highest among the large existing displays and that it illustrates the “superior flexibility” of the screen compared to other OLED screens.
LG will show a new multimedia lint with an integrated TV
The second new OLED system that LG wants to show is called “media chair”, and that’s about exactly what it looks like. The display is an elegant chair design comprising a 55-inch OLED TV screen made in front of a reclining chair. The screen includes a radius of curvature of 1,500r, offering what LG calls an “optimal angle for the user”
LG also included an integrated sound system called its Cinematic OLED or CSO for a short time. The system will allow the chair to vibrate with the sound of the external speakers, which should immerse the observer in the audio of everything they are watching. In addition, it includes a pivot function that allows the screen to switch between horizontal and vertical orientations.
This is accomplished by touching a button on the armrest of the chair. LG says that the display “has tens of millions of autonomous pixels”, which must remove the need for a backlight in the TV. The company also says that it wants to offer excellent display quality in various foldable screen options, foldable or routle in the future.
In parallel with the new display solutions, LG also plans to show several new OLED screens, as well as high-end LCD screens, it is specifically indicated for the computer industry.
In addition to proposing new ways to use OLED screens, LG also works on improving the brightness and overall quality of its displays. He recently announced the former ex OLED, which is a new OLED screen that offers up to 30% brighter screens than the previous OLED screens offered.
LG made its more brilliant displays using deuterium compounds and specialized algorithms. This will allow the company to increase the stability of the displays, as well as the overall efficiency of how it offers an organic light to the viewer. The algorithms in question allow the display to specialize how it displays the contents of the viewer. It can then use this customization to learn better visualization models and even predict how it should use the millions of light-emitting diodes in the screens.
